Toku is shown to have a strong bond with his handler Nia. Equally protective and loyal, he never hesitates to risk his own life when Nia is put in danger and is more than affectionate when the time calls for it. He can also be hostile to strangers which he's not very friendly if anyone who gets close to his handler . Toku cares about Nia very much, and always by her side. They understand of each other very well but his handler show she can be very afraid of things, but Toku will try to get over her fear to face it. No matter what, he will stood by her when she needed him.
