Mael is normally a lump lying about with an occasional grunt or glare.  He is uninterested in most things, really only raising his head to his handler or to food.  His laziness, however, takes nothing away from his intimidating size and demeanor.  He isn't loving or affectionate, and the extent of his acceptance of a new person into the pack is being blase to their presence.  Because of this, he's treated with caution.

Despite majority of his life consisting of being a lawn ornament, when it comes to his handler he's a bodyguard and the most dependable friend.
