Harbinger keeps his own counsel unless asked, and invariably defers to Tokotas of higher rank. However, there's a lot going on beneath the surface. Still waters run deep, they say. Highly observant and attentive, not much happens in Harby's vicinity that he doesn't notice. His memory is sharp, too. He stores bits of information away in his mind, just in case they might be useful later. That includes any weaknesses, flaws, or failings exhibited by the higher-ranking Tokotas around him. If attacked - whether by another Tokota or something else - Harbinger prolongs the fight by dodging the first several attacks without trying to fight back yet. He does this to give himself a chance to watch the foe and try to spot an opening, weakness, or flaw in their technique. Though he is a big, heavy animal by Tokota standards, he inherited his mother's relatively slender legs and quick-footedness. Harbinger isn't a natural racer the way some Tokos are, but over short distances he can dart and dodge faster than most creatures his size could. He may act as if he's slower and more lumbering than he is to surprise a foe.
