Unwin is very quiet. He rarely says a word and typically always wears a monotoned expression. He is not weird, he is just observing. He cares a lot for his family an will do anything to protect them, however, he has an alpha complex and is constantly looking for a way to take control of a situation, or be the boss, which often gets him in fights with his dad. He has developed phagophobia after nearly choking to death on one ocasion, thus it is hard for anyone to get him to eat. His mother is nearly the only one who can make him smile and is also about the only one who can get him to eat. Due to his alpha complex, his relationship with his dad is very complex and they rarely get along.
