Starsky tends to be very serious and by-the-book. He is not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules set in place. He is a very hard worker, and does not allow obstacles to get in the way of performing his duties. He is not naturally in tune with his own feelings and the feelings of others. He has difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately, as they are presented, and is very uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. However, he can be quite a supporting and caring individual to those who are close to him, and who he loves. Once he realizes the emotional needs of those who are close to them, he puts forth effort to meet those needs. His brother's enthusiasm and affectionate ways can be quite daunting to him, but he attempts to return the affection as best he can.
