Haldon is very much a showboater and his endless bragging proves it. Because of his skills when it comes to hunting large game and being the son of Chataya Tarth, he's earned respect and admiration but has managed to lose it just as quickly as it came. He harasses, annoys, and bullies everyone with his need to prove how good he is at hunting. His never-ending challenging of others to pointless competitions has put him on the outs when it comes to making friends. This has earned him some harsh words from his mother and disdain from the rest of the pack even though he's always the first one to be contacted when the pack needs a large kill. His favorite prey animals to hunt are bears, deer, and caribou.

His overconfidence and egotistical nature have placed him on the outs with most of his pack mates. The only one who can tolerate his brutish behavior being Aloy. The two have become close friends, despite their opposite personalities, and Haldon is often tagging along after her forcible stating his opinion on her every mannerism. She ignores him.
