Upon looking at this tokota, one would think that he is a show dog; the braids, the feathered fur on his chin, feet, and tail... But the truth is, he belongs to a travelling merchant named Elias. Duke's handler, upon needing a working dog to help him pull a sled in his travels, stumbled upon a local breeder in Coastal Tiyonik who bred tokotas for the show-ring. Being his only option, Elias decided to buy one of the pups that were left from the woman. The portly old woman insisted that he take the cream of the crop, Duke, on the condition that the small tokota keep his show name; Sir Reverend Duke. The two have been bonded ever since, with Duke sometimes sneaking into villages while Elias is still asleep at camp to visit the local tokotas and villagers--picking up treats, trinkets, and valuables along the way that Elias doesn't find until later. Villagers are often dumbfounded when they realize that the gorgeous toki belongs not to a showman, but to a scraggly older man who buys and sells valuables and happens to take very good care of his four legged companion.
