Quartz is a highly temperamental Tokota. He has a tendency to nip at new, as well as the unusual handler. This is where he gets his nickname of "Lear" or "Leary." But to his bonded handler, after a few nips, he becomes very willing, loyal, and diligent. He is, however, a little more serious. He is fairly wary of other humans aside from his usual and consistent rider. Quartz enjoys hunting, especially with the pack. He's almost always noted to look as though he's trying to find something to take down during breaks and down time.
