Like both her name and nickname suggest, Nira is not an akota to be trifled with. Although half blind she can be quite dangerous, and she has been known to attack both humans and tokotas alike on account of her temper. Her large, sharp, canines are something to be feared and many of the local people know to steer clear of her path. Only the most expirienced handler might be able to get through to her, which is why the TCA has managed to capture and put this dangerous akota up for adoption. Deanira is a solitary creature, and doesn't get along well with others. Nobody knows who or what caused her partial blindness, but many believe it to be the reason for her hostility towards everyone.
