As a wild tokota, she earned the reputation of an overbearing mother hen, and was lovingly nicknamed "Susie." She was often seen taking any pups under her wing that she can find, often incuring the wrath of their actual mothers. The TCA tagged her for taming in hopes that she wouldn't be someday ravaged by a protective mother.

Once tamed, she received the name Varahina, meaning "copper" based on the reddish brown color of her long coat, but is still affectionately called "Susie" at times. She's been given the task of helping raise new puppies in the kennel, mothering any that were abandoned by their own mothers, as well as giving tired mothers a break from pupsitting.
