She was found in the woods as a tiny whelp, presumed dead but still not quite cold to the touch, two hopeful children picked her up and bundled her home in the hopes that warmth and care might yet save her. Their parents tried to discourage the effort, concerned that the prolonged life lesson could be more painful than the quick one. But they persisted and within a short while by the comforting glow of the hearth the tiny white ghost of a pup began to move and mewl. The children raised the little orphan, and despite her setbacks she grew to be a plucky little thing, eager to please and fiercely competitive against larger, stronger tokotas, always wanting to remind everyone that she wasn't worth throwing away.
