A travelling man hailing from South Africa accidentally encountered the young tokota after becoming cornered by hungry cougars. The adolescent barbary rushed the scene, seemingly out of nowhere, and put up a fight despite the injuries he sustained throughout. The cougars eventually retreated, but the tokota was weak. The man, which then came into the companionship and care of the tokota, said that the orange barbary expressed confidence and courage that he'd only seen in African Buffalo defending the herd. The unnamed tokota, which was at the time a young stray who loved villagers and passersby, then became known as Ibhubesi N'koba, or Lion Conqueror. The bond Koba has with his handler is nothing short of inseperable, and he is quick to jump to his handler's defense.
