Sunflower was named by a five year old boy who spotted her while hiking with his parents in the mountains. Due to her blindness and the natural inquistiveness that comes with being a young creature, she was able to be coaxed to sit near the family under the promise of gronola bars (with chocolate chips - her favourite sweet treat) and elk jerky. While Sunflower is inherently less aggressive than normal akotas - given that she grew up around people near the trails that she frequented - due to her blindness, TCA was concerned about the potential threat she could pose to herself and to humans that pass through the area, so she has been marked for taming.
