After being gifted a second chance by none other than Aippaq himself, Phoenix owes a lot to Torryn and the human female, Vynhilda. Though haunted by memories of his past life, he is adamant that it will not affect him in this life. He has assigned himself the role of protector, not just of Vynhilda but also of the Kraken Clan. Though he has made a special bond with Torryn, seeing the smaller Tokota as more of a parental figure than that of a friend. 

He is friendly with other Tokotas in and out of the Kraken Clan and has a keen interest in many things. Though when it comes to being ridden, Phoenix will only allow Vynhilda to ride him. He also has a sixth sense when it comes to Tokotas like himself who had been granted a second life, feeling a close companionship with them as well as feeling the warmth of the gift of life that resonates within himself, as well.
