Gloomy, his favorite place is an old graveyard. Onlookers have pegged the dire as being somewhat haunting, his slow meander over the gravestones being akin to a hound keeping the dead in their rest and the living from his land. In reality he likes the old groundskeep and the peace that comes from the stone ridden land. He helps dig the graves, carry the tools, and runs off to hide when strangers do come in.
