Elan was the first dire to be owned by Howling Winds Ranch. She is as sweet as her name and is excellent around young children. As such, Lan gives the gentlest kisses and slow rides to children that are wary of such large tokotas. Elan is, however, a powerful and courageous individual who will not back down from her quarry. She was the first to encounter Aresius WM22 and successfully kept her handler safe from harm as they made their attempts to tame the wild dire. If you visit the ranch you may find Elan resting with the long-mane dire out in the fields with his offspring.
