To sum up Cookie in one word you would need to ruthlessly smash several smaller ones together. He's like a bag of trail mix that's listed as being "salty and sweet". To the casual, untrained eye he is a large boy with no concept of personal boundaries. He values the space of all his packmates and his handler (he's been responsible for no less than three broken windows and a destroyed bedframe when he managed to get into the house) but any strangers that get too close are likely to meet the salty side.
