As a pup, Radagon was stolen away from his mother by a group of not-so-nice men. Taken far away from his home and family he was forced to fight as he grew. Blood, fear, and pain seemed to be given out freely each day he spent with these terrible people. For the next year, he won countless matches against others just as scared as him, but it never seemed to be enough for his greedy masters. Even when his ears were torn, his body covered in countless scars, and his eye nearly taken they still did not seem to care. Not until the fighting ring was broken up by the local sheriffs did Radagon find his escape. With a snap and snarl, he found himself free from the new humans who held him in muzzles and ropes. For weeks he traveled through the chilly tundras of Tokotna as he tried his best to find a new home. Somewhere safe. Maybe even back to his mother whom he still remembered fondly. Exhausting, fear, and hunger took their toll however and the Dire found himself collapsing in a cousin of newly fallen snow. There he lay until a figure emerged from the forest and as darkness took his vision all Rada could remember was the feeling of a gentle hand on his forehead. 

Waking up he was rather hostile with his new comrade. The one who had removed the bits of leather, chain, and rope that had been left over from his flight away from the pits. Trust wasn't built overnight, but soon the large Dire found comfort with his new friend. Riden as the man called himself. Unlike the other humans, he was different. A gentle hand and a soft itch behind his scared-up ears. Learning to live this new life was harder than he imagined. Everything new was scary. Unknown. To him, it could all lead to something terrible or back to the place he had called home for so long. The man who had begun taking care of him was patient enough to help heal what he could. Even offering him a small plushie friend to help with those fears. While thankful for his new life, he is still careful whenever he is around newcomers. Humans especially. You never know when someone might turn and try to take everything from you. Other Tokotas were fine. Those he fought were made to fight just like him and so he took no anger out on his own kind. Still, he isn't very fond of others and is content to stay close to Riden most days.
