Poppy is very intelligent. She doesn't let the fact that she is deaf get in her way. In fact, she's learned how to recognize complex hand signals as well as different twitches and movements from her rider. Still she has a designated partner to follow and help her when she doesn't hear something. Poppy is also very sweet and happy, she gets excited and does a little happy dance like a puppy.
