Reliable and unrelenting, Excidium is a great partner for both new and experienced handlers, though he likes newbies better for he can take lead if they're not experienced enough and keep them out of danger. He prefers just a muzzle bridle and slight heel taps while under saddle. He dislikes jerky rein command and jabbing heels for he'll stop dead in his tracks or just toss the handler off all together. Though newbies, at times, will jerky his head or kick his sides, Excidium will tolerate their antics. Yet with experienced handlers who never been around him or just plain snotty newbie brats he has not bones about refusing their commands. He loves to explore new areas, trailblazing and open runs. He is a slightly reluctant hunter, but he will defend his handler or pack-mates if danger arises. It's like he sympathizes with his prey a bit too much, but will complete tasks required of him if needed.
