Gauvain is a strong, noble spirit. He believes in loyalty to his family above all else, and prides himself in his resolve. His knightly heart belongs to the wild pack of Taktuq, where he faithfully serves the alpha and takes care of his brothers and sisters. Iluq's woodlands are his home through and through; he can navigate them with ease as if he is communicating with the trees themselves. Although not particularly spiritual, he considers himself connected to the land itself - he feels his soul is tethered to that of the forest and the pack.

Gauvain is reluctant to receive any kind of change openly, and he is not fond of adventuring. Home is all he needs, and a simpler life suits him well. Above all else, his duty to protect and hunt for his sworn family would dissuade him from exploring even if he wanted to.
