He was rightfully non-trusting with his owners due to this past. A 'home' never used to last. His behavior wasn't the best, he wasn't the most handsome tokota either nor the smartest. He used to be just 'one of the boys' in The Milky-Way's ranch too. Not because Jei didn't like him, but because she found it hard to get a connection to him. This wasn't anybody's fault. Kepler was doing his thing, and just tried to enjoy everything while it lasted. He always made sure not to inconvenience anyone, specially Jei, but that was a little hard to do as he generally was a little goofy by nature. Again, not his fault, just how things happened to be. Everything changed when Sanshima walked into the ranch one day without any warning. San looked worn out, she had probably been out there into the wild, traveling by foot for weeks. She was smelly, but in fairly good shape. Kepler arrived to the scene as the last tokota from The Milky-Way's ranch, just before Jei did. He saw the girl and walked right in front of her, asking the other tokotas to back away from her. Considering his usually vary personality, Jei found this peculiar, but decided to trust his judgement of character. Till this day, Kepler never left San out of his eyes for more than a few minutes. The trust and connection between those two was almost clear enough to be touched by hand and felt by anyone. You could blindfold Kepler, and let San guide him trough a forest full of trees in his maxium running speed. San could turn her back into an aggressive bear and have full trust that she would never get hurt. Even though one of Keplers hobby was to try to impress the lady tokotas around him, he truly honestly only ever had his eyes on San, trying to make her happy by his goofy behavior. They definitely share one a heart.
