Kodaav is what you would call a gentle giant, he is well aware of his size compared to other creatures and he seems to know just where to place himself where he is not in the way or will possibly bump into someone since he likes his space. He doesn't really like to be touched and only just tolerates it from Sage since he knows it's required, otherwise he can be found just a bit outside of the group.
