Strongly in-tune with the earth and it's vibrations, Toph has heightened senses of perception... which aids with her poor eyesight.  She is fiercely independent, sarcastic, direct, stubborn, and confrontational.  She is often eager to prove she is just as strong as any other Tokota (or animal) she happens upon.  She can often be unyielding and will hold her ground with steadfast determination. 
Despite her quirks, she is also a quick learner who remains courageous and loyal - especially to her handler and close packmates.  And on rare occasion, she will allow herself to show affection when she deems the other person/Tokota worthy.
