Steady, Patient, Honest. Altai is a level headed and easy going Tokota. Not prone to overexcitement, she is generally rather calm and relaxed about life. She will work hard when she respects you, and will will make it clear when she doesn't. If she is uncomfortable with something, you will know, and if she is enjoying something (cheek scratches for example) you will find it hard to stop her from getting them. For such a large animal, she is very aware of her size. She will take great care with small children, and has ben seen to guard and protect prey animals (especially young ones) that have been rescued by her owner. WARNING: While normally placid and slow to anger, she is fully capable of inflicting serious damage, and has been seen to do so in the past. Do not antagonise this tokota. She is particularly wary around men, though great care has been taken to reduce the risk as much as possible.
