Kuruk means 'bear' which fits the brown merle well, considering that he takes after his father in the sense that he is indeed a big teddy-bear, unless of course, he feels that his family, especially his sister, Awinita, or himself, are threatened, then the claws come out. Kurk is not entirely concerned about his appearance, like his mother, but he does however take a little pride in not being dirty before bed. Kurk is a wise young male, with a lot to learn, but also with a fairly square head on his shoulders.
