(Pack)

Delphine deLongpre is the daughter of a general-turned-diplomat and a chief political correspondent. She grew up on the move and shows no signs of slowing down or stopping. A trained photojournalist with a strong radio presence, Delphine has long focused on the documentation of war crimes. She has taken a somewhat forced sabbatical in the far north after a particularly prolonged conflict.

No stranger to using tokotas to navigate dangerous terrain, her Pack is nevertheless used to warmer climates and more rigorous activity than their 'vacation' currently provides. The adaptation has been a strain for all present parties.

Her tokotas are all named for her fathers' favorite poets and authors. The name of the pack is half-jest, half-practicality: the travel papers required a name, and Delphine has long been in the habit of appropriating 'dead air' (and the names' of dead poets) to broadcast her work.

She has worked closely with a photographer and videographer named Cain Smith. He is legally blind (and regularly has to repeat the phrase, "yes, I am a legally blind photographer"). Raised in rural Idaho by a fundamentalist group, he seems haunted by ghosts of past and present battlefields. His tokotas are named for the 'big' cities he hoped to one day see...dreams that have changed, if not disappeared entirely, like the shadow of the man he used to be.

Her work is technically sponsored by a rather wealthy young nobleman named James Bennett (Jack). He and Delphine were friends in college. In addition to paying for many of the team's adventures, he allows them to use a familial home in northern Scotland as a home base.
