Lore:
Born from the fires of anger caused by injustice, A'jila is a restless spirit; soul set aflame as it burned bright and caught fire, an iron will swearing to protect the innocent. A'jila seeks to live out for all eternity, determined to set things straight in both the mortal and spirit worlds. With hooves, horns, and claws forged from burning hot steel, this massive, bulky black beast is covered in raging flames, eyes burning with the fury of a scorching desert. This comparably akota-sized, bovine-like entity features a sharp hunch and hooves on the hind legs, caniform forelegs and fangs, and is equipped with a long rattlesnake's tail tipped with flames reminiscent to that of a large torch, crackling and glowing with ferocity. Fire and smoke can be seen billowing from A'jila's flared nostrils, the deity adorning a nose ring much like standard cattle.

A benevolent guardian, A'jila is a fierce protector of livestock and Tokotas belonging to the Red Valley Riders, defending them against unruly outlaws or poachers. The fire and flames that line A'jila's body bring warmth, light and protection to the innocent, but burn those guilty with ill intentions. It is said this beast of fire will appear to those in dire need, guiding the lost through darkness or unleashing fury upon those against denizens of the tribe with a heavy kick of their hot iron hooves, or perhaps a severe lashing from his burning rattlesnake tail.

Depending on who you ask, A'jila can be seen as a good omen, warning the tribespeople and their Tokotas of severe weather such as a sandstorm, tornado, or other natural disasters. However, be warned if you hear the crackling, popping, and rattling of A'jila's tail, for it is a precautionary tale to adhere; that this diety of fire will go out of his way to burn, scorn, and even go to the extent of branding evildoers with an unforgiving flame. Either from a crack of his rattlesnake tail, a mighty kick from those burning hooves, searing, scorching pain from steel claws, or outright leaving a nasty burning bitemark, this deity serves justice on a scalding hot plate.

According to rumors, A'jila may or may not be responsible for wreaking havoc on settlements that plan on pillaging or who have pillaged and wish to do it again, setting fire to the towns and cities of those who are wicked-minded. This scorching deity will make his presence known, as a mix of hoof and pawprints line the ground, burnt into the soil as he leaves behind a trail of flames. However, to most people's surprise, where A'jila once created a trail of fire and scorched earth could suddenly be gone the next day. He is also known to literally brand wrongdoers who came just a little too close for comfort, burnt hoof marks having scorched fur and skin to let tribespeople be aware of potential danger from certain individuals. If he comes across the same opposition the second time, they may not live long enough to tell their tale and live out their lives ashamed with the brand of A'jila reminding them of their cruel behavior. Straying too close to A'jila's wandering grounds could be good or bad news depending on what your true intentions are. Do no harm to him or his people, and he will not harm you.
