Description:
The city of Tyonek is the primary hub for transportation and trade on the south coast of the Tartok region. The city is nestled among the temperate rainforests off the banks of the Banthry inlet. The waters are dotted with islands close to shore which can make navigating difficult for the novice sailor. The city supports a large human population

  • The Banthry Wreck - This ship was stranded long ago. It's not the only one of its kind, but is the most well known and largest of all the wrecks, the inlet being named after it.
  • Nagruk's Hidden Shrine - On the outskirts of the city, on a dirt path that leads deeper into the Tartok region, there is a small shrine where traders can leave offerings to the Spirit of Good Fortune, in the hopes of a successful business day.
  • Mudflats - A dangerous place for any wayward traveler, with a fast moving tide and the chance of being sucked down into the suffocation muck.
Lore:
Shimá; it is said that the spirit of a Polar Bear mother wanders the mudflats in search of her cub that was claimed by the flats. Locals say that she will draw others to the flats with an eerie cry, that can be heard carried on the wind, in the hopes of replacing her lost cub. These poor unfortunates become victims of the flats themselves and it is said if she seen on the flats, another poor soul has lost their life. However, it is also said, that if Shimá is seen nearer to the city, she brings good luck and you will prosper that day.
