Hyadinir was born to a long and noble lineage; his coat shone bright white and pure as moonlight. He was one of the pride and joys of Thadius Everknight and the family that dwelled in Everknight Manor. The tokota took this role to heart, making it his obsession. No matter how radiant Hyadinir was, the moon was always brighter and purer. He swore through his wounded pride that he would tear down his greatest rival.
Deep beneath the manor, dark caves where the moon's light could never reach lay hidden. Hyadinir fled the moon's gaze, crawling deeper and deeper, never to be seen again. The manor and its noble house fell to ruin, and the wilderness overtook the property.
It was then that Hyadinir emerged from the caverns, coat irrevocably stained black, clutching a crystal that looked like the moon in his maw. The spirit roams the grounds, striking fear into the hearts of those he encounters. On nights of the full moon, he climbs high into the ruins of the manor, casting a shadow as he blacks out the moon from view.
