To-Go-Tas

All
A nice 72 degrees with air conditioning and the smell of hot dogs on the rollers.
Description:
A dinky little gas station, whose history began nestled in a busy, bustling city that never seemed to quieten, even at night. The city behind the original To-Go-Tas shines with unnatural, bright, and colored lights, like some surreal abstract location. But it's not the only one out there. To-Go-Tas, now a chain, can be found just about all over Tokotna, anywhere you might find an automobile. On the side of the road leading toward the Starfall Expanse, in the sleepy little fishing villages by the sea, even in your own suburban hometown.
A Tokotnian merchant decided to open a store when they took over the gas station and took advantage of the original location to offer highly-priced, frequently sought-after goods in a city where most of these products are hard to come by. The quality of these products is, however, questionable and the expiration dates should be carefully examined. Customers can find a selection of treats, toys, and breeding products inside. The convenience of one stop that sells an array of product types attracts business.
Time has worn down the various gas stations across Tokotna, and the surrounding pavement is usually cracked and slick with oil spills, as well as littered with trash. When visiting To-Go-Tas, one should be wary of peddlers and strange visitors that frequent in the hopes of selling some off-brand goods.

Landmarks:
  • Many, To-Go-Tas can be found almost anywhere in Tokotna, ranging from the sides of busy highways to desolate, one-lane streets.
Lore:
  • Don't try the donuts on the shelves. Just don't buy them.
  • Legend has it that the ice cream machine inside once worked, eons ago.
  • The slushie machine, if they're lucky enough to have one inside, offers a variety of flavors, though they're usually labeled incorrectly.
  • Some To-Go-Tas locations are long-abandoned, with no power or electricity, but food items still linger on the shelves inside. Beware of broken glass in these locations.
