The Bog

A very persistent flu has been sweeping around town and half the population has been affected. Many people can't even get out of their beds because of the shivers, including some toko handlers. Even a few of the older tokos have been showing signs of the flu. The best herb to treat it is out of stock. It is up to your team to fetch it from the only place it grows in....a smelly bog near the coast where many a traveler has gotten stuck or drowned in mud and slime before. Depict your tokota and handler traversing the bog.

Avalanche

Tragedy has struck close to home. An avalanche has buried dozens of people and tokotas near The Ridge of the Elders. There is still the threat for further accidents with the shifting snow so survivors must be rescued now. Bring your toughest tokotas to dig them out of the snow. Depict your tokota and handler searching among the disaster for survivors, tending to the wounded or rushing them to a makeshift hospital.

To the moon!

Taking stock of supplies and food at the depository is a very important job. A very dull, very important job. But hey, someone's gotta do it. It seemed simple enough until a box of berries went missing. A quick search found the box outside with half of the berries gone and a group of tokotas behaving suspiciously. Picking up the box you read the label on the side, "Do not ingest. Strong hallucinogenic". Oh no...
Depict what your tokota(s) sees after ingesting the berries or your handler trying to keep it/them under control.

Who's your daddy?

We all know one. A tokota who has shared some of his love one too many times. He probably thought it was always going to be all fun and games but reality has come crashing down. Their children and descendants are demanding some fatherly attention. Depict your tokota meeting one of these prolific males who has had multiple pups in its lifetime. It can be a member owned toko or some of these popular starters, Tonga 182, Voltaire 02 or Nanook 01.

You've got a friend in me

Tokotas have many purposes. They work as mounts, hunting partners and even protectors. But above all, they are your companions. Celebrate how much you appreciate your bond by decorating them with colorful paints, flower garlands, precious stones or by giving them an offering of their preferred food or toys. Depict your tokota receiving or enjoying their gifts.

Mysterious Ruins

Hikers report a set of ruins that come and go with a mysterious fog each month. It is rumored the ruins are part of what used to be a grand castle that belonged to an eccentric lord that collected all sorts of beasts and treasures. Some explorers have already planned a trip, will you accompany them? Will you find traces of what used to be? Is it a mundane location or does it carry some sort of spell that hides it's true nature with the fog? Depict your tokota and handler exploring these ruins.

April

Circus

A traveling circus is in town for the week. They are recruiting local talent for the big closing show. The ringmaster is unsure beasts as huge as tokotas would be trainable enough to perform the complicated routines their animals do but he's willing to give some teams a chance. Does your tokota know any outstanding trick? Is it the fastest? The most obedient? The strongest? Prove it to the ringmaster and he may let you perform for his circus. Depict your tokota and handler showing their unusual talents.

Poachers

Agents have reported poachers in the area. Apparently they've kidnapping beloved pets and prized working stock from farms and kennels. They were last seen camped in a ravine with their collection of animals chained and caged for transportation. Authorities are recruiting volunteers to battle them and rescue their victims. Depict your tokota and handler approaching, facing or defeating these criminals.

Orca

A cheeky whale has been interrupting fishing trips for the past two weeks and annoying fishermen by stealing their catch. She's even overturned boats, scaring the living daylights out of some. The threat of angry tokotas has not been enough to dissuade the naughty orca. She will only leave if someone accepts her challenge and beats her in a race along the coast. Do you think your toko has what it takes to beat the arrogant whale in her own element? Depict your tokota and handler accepting her challenge or racing her. You may also depict the outcome of the challenge (victory or defeat for your team.)

The future is grim

Imagine a world gone to waste. Imagine a world where only the strongest have survived tremendous hardship and catastrophe. Imagine the apocalyptic future. How do you think your tokos and handler will face a world where everything has been destroyed and survival is the only law of the land? Will they fight against enemies for resources? What about scavenging in ruined cities? Will there be nightmarish creatures alongside the survivors? Depict your tokos and handler facing the apocalypse or the new world order.

Summer Heat

An outrageous heat wave has swept Tokotna. It's much hotter than anyone remembers in recent years. And with the warmth the insect population has skyrocketed. Every task has become ten times more difficult under the scorching sun. Citizens and tokotas alike have started inventing creative ways to cool down and combat the bugs. Carts with beverages and ice cream are a common sight on the streets, trips to the creeks more frequent and the groomers are making a fortune. What is your pack doing to avoid a heatstroke or fight the swarms?

Tourist Trap

The TCA has announced that they need the help of the community. Travelers and tourists have increased in number, and with the new activity there has been an unfortunate increase in the amount of litter strewn throughout the landscape and displaced wildlife. Today has been designated as clean-up day. The TCA requests that everyone assists in picking up trash and helps with re-planting native flora and relocating stressed animals that have been disturbed by the newcomers.

With the amount of free time summer brings about, many don’t know what to occupy themselves with. Some take on extra work, others catch up on sleep and a lot find themselves paralyzed under the scorching heat. But to a select few, summertime is game time. The season to break records. To live stories, to become characters. They are the Gamers. And this is their time to shine in a gathering celebrating video games and their characters. Tokotas may be depicted wearing costumes or recreating their favorite video game level or moment to commemorate this event. Action, adventure, RPG, horror, all genres are welcome.

X Marks the Spot

Oh no. A set of gems that was being delivered to a private collector has gone missing. The prime suspect of the theft is little Boon 11072 who was spotted fleeing the scene. His scent trail leads to various places, the forest, the mountain and even the beach. He must've buried the gems in one of these places. Your tokota must find them to claim the reward. Depict your toko digging in one or all of these areas looking for the gems the toki has hidden.

August

Singularity

Mankind has made giant leaps in technology that has allowed them to go beyond their limitations. Bright cities are everywhere, ships of all shapes ferry people through earth, water and sky. Some even explore the deep space and alien planets. Tokotas have had to adapt to this new world or suffer the consequences of becoming irrelevant. What is the place tokotas occupy in this advanced world. Are they still mounts? Are they warriors? Maybe explorers in distant planets or exotic pets for alien races. Depict your tokota(s) life in this distant future.

September

Rule #1

Rumors abound about a hideout where rogue tokos prove themselves and tamed tokos hunt for some excitement. Many return with bruises, cuts and broken bones. Others, do not return at all. The fighting ring is not for everyone. No mercy is their motto. Will your tokota join the fight and rise to the top? Or will they be repulsed by the abuse and do their best to stop the fighting? Depict your tokota(s) either finding the ring, as spectators or fighting to save or destroy the barbaric practice.

Cryptid hunt

Every land has its myths of monsters and creatures so rare they can elude capture for ages. Some are pure imagination—or so people say— and there's enough proof of others to make people doubt. The Global Cryptid Organization has offered a reward for any proof of undiscovered beasts provided to their members. Bigfoot, The Jersey Devil, El Chupacabra, Sirens, Unicorns, everything is fair game. Depict your tokota(s) encountering one of these beasts.

Talent Show

The annual talent show is on in Tyonek! Depict your tokota and handler performing or practicing for this year's act. Can your tokota jump through flaming hoops? Howl a catchy pop song in perfect key? Maybe pull a hare out of a hat? Dazzle the judges with your unique talents and show them what you're made of.

Just Desserts

The holidays abound with treats of all sorts, from turkey to cookies, so many things to bake, so many things to taste!
Depict your tokota decorating or eating a holiday dessert - whether that be cookies, pies, cakes, lebkuchen, gingerbread houses, or other dessert- up to you!

Full of the holiday spirit your tokota is hunting for the perfect gift for their handler, or fellow pack mates!
Depict your tokota searching for, finding, or giving this "perfect" gift.

New Light

Bring in the new years! Depict your tokotas taking part in the Floating Lantern festivities. You can have lanterns floating on water or in the air, of any shape, color or size, just be sure to light them so the new year can find its way to all of Tokotna.
