Semi-Custom Rules

  • Semi-Customs purchased from the group may not be sold for more USD than they were purchased for.
  • Semi-customs without special restrictions or additions can be stored in the bank as an item.
    • For any semi-customs with special restrictions/exceptions, a proof of ownership will be written as a Tokotna Semi Permission. Please see the below section for more information.
  • All Semi-customs from banked items must follow the following restrictions.
    • Build: Tokota
      • Semi customs from the Shrine of Seven Stones are always Tokota build only. No other builds may be used.
    • Base Coat: Tundra (TT) or Tawny (Aa/TT)
    • Mane: Any Common or Uncommon Mane
      • Manes must be in the Common or Uncommon rarity section of the Manes Tokopedia page.
      • Rare and Very Rare manes are not useable.
    • Markings: Up to 4 Markings
      • Markings must in the Common, or Uncommon rarity section of the Design Guide Handbook.
      • Markings may not be dominant. (Ex. A semi cannot have MrlMrl / double merle)
      • Rare, Very Rare, Extension & Restriction Markings are not useable.
      • Extremely Common Markings (Marked, Accents, Collared) may be freely added to any semi-custom and are unaffected by the 4 marking limit.
    • Mutations are not useable. This includes both non-hereditary (Albino, chimera, etc.) and hereditary mutations (Melanism, Reversal, etc.).
    • All items useable on a geno are useable on a semi-custom, including Soul Pool Water to add Physical Traits, Decor items, etc.

Tokotna Semi Permissions

  • Semi-Customs with special allowances and restrictions will always be written as a Tokotna Semi Permission.
  • These semi-customs still follow all of the above restrictions, and any special rules will be explicitly listed out in the details.
  • Some special names are used as shorthand on Tokotna Semi Permissions for more broad allowances/restrictions. These will be listed in the below table,.
    • Silver Build Semi-Customs are available through Admin semi sales.

Build Bronze Semi-Custom Allows use of the Tokota build.
Build Silver Semi-Custom Allows use of the Toki or Dire [10%] builds.
Build Gold Semi-Custom Allows use of the Dire [25%], Dakino, or Tokhara builds.
Base Non-Dominant Tundra/Tawny Allows use of the ee/aa/Tt Tundra or ee/Aa/Tt Tawny base coats.
Base Dominant Tawny Allows use of the ee/AA/TT Tawny or ee/AA/Tt Tawnybase coats.
Base Brown / Black Allows use of the ee/Aa/tt Brown or Ee/aa/tt Black base coats.
Mane Rare Mane Allows for the use of any available Rare Mane.
Mane Very Rare Mane Allows for the use of any available Very Rare Mane.
Markings Extra Marking Slot Allows for the use of an additional Common or Uncommon marking.
Markings Rare Marking Allows for the use of a Rare marking.
Markings Very Rare Marking Allows for the use of a Very Rare marking.
Markings Extension / Restriction Marking Allows for the use of an Extension/Restriction marking.
Extended/Restricted markings count for 2 normal marking slots.
Extra Pick a Starter Allows addition of a chosen starter to be added to lineage.


FAQs

  • What Design Central thread do I submit my Semi-Custom to?
    • Semi-Customs must be submitted to the Soul Poul Design thread.
  • Do I need to go somewhere special to have my semi custom revealed?
    • No, when you upload your design to your sta.sh for submission to Design Central, you'll fill out the Geno/Pheno with what your design contains
  • Do I need to fill out the lineage?
    • No, the uploader will select starters for your lineage.
  • May I use more than one Pedigree Paper or Forged Pedigree Paper?
    • No, you may only use one per Semi-Custom.
  • If I put a special coat brown or black starter in my semi custom lineage, will the offspring be able to use the special coat?
    • Uploaders will aim to place the starter in the second row of your lineage. However, keep in mind that the base coats must be dominant tundra or tawny.
  • Where can I find the my semi-custom proof?
    • Semi customs are tracked on Tokotna and will show in your list of Tokotna Semi Perms. Older semi customs can be found on Semi-Customs Log as well, but these will be moved into the new system.
  • Do semi-customs ever expire?
    • No, you have unlimited time to plan your semi custom.
  • What are Upgrade Tokens? Can I apply them to any Semi-Custom?
    • Upgrade Tokens are items that allow for the addition of a trait beyond the normal limitations of Semi-Customs. These Tokens may only be used with banked Semi-Custom items and semi-custom permissions written in the Tokotna Semi Perm system. They cannot be used with old Semi-Custom Log or other DeviantART journals.
  • How many Upgrade Tokens can I apply to a Semi-Custom?
    • Only one Upgrade Token regardless of type can be applied to a Semi-Custom.
