Greetings and welcome back to Tokotas! Over the years Tokotas has evolved quite a bit and there have been a lot of major changes to adjust to. This guide aims to log major changes for easy reference for both old and new players alike.

Listed below are the details that have changed, along with the date they have been implemented for your reference.

  • 09/14/2017 - A new rare mane has been released! Razor mane Tokotas are now available in Tokotna.
  • 09/21/2017 - A new build is running around the game; Akotas! These large, prehistoric Tokota relatives are now available. Please see Species Information for more information.
2018
  • 10/07/2018 - TCA academy ranks are now tracked on Tokotna.com
2019
  • 08/12/2019 - A large amount of changes to Non-Physical traits have occurred, including which traits are upgradable by Elemental Heart as well as introducing new traits. Please review the Non-Physical Traits page to catch up on current traits and upgrades.
  • 08/12/2019 - Tokis are now officially recognized as a build instead of a mutation. Alterations to Mauja’s Draw have been made - It no longer increases toki rates however a new trait, Small Stature has been introduced to increase toki chances.
  • 10/06/2019 - Tier 1, 2 and 3 starter slots have been retired and going forward new Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum prize tiers will be used for group sales and events. Any starter slots you already own will still be able to be used, and the starters you have available to pick from has not changed. You will still have to pick from the appropriate numbered tier. 2020
  • 01/10/2020 - Dominant and Alpha Akotas now can receive litters that include 2 pups instead of just 1. Please note that litter boosting effects, such as fertility supplements, are still not applicable to akota breedings. Additionally, items that previously did not work such as the dark and light elixir, will continue to have no affect as well.
  • 01/10/2020 - The outpost (featured on the Cycling Journals Hub) has been hard at work developing new traits and features for Akotas. We now have several physical trait options available with much more to be unlocked. Please keep an eye out for future goals to achieve!
  • 04/01/2020 - Health defects have been rebalanced and two more have been added; Frail and Lame can now occur in breedings with related tokotas and double merle.
  • 07/13/2020 - The original 20 starters received a facelift, courteously of our talented community! In addition, they have been unsterilized and added to the starter slot pools.
  • 09/07/2020 - The injury and healing system was overhauled, introducing Bruised, Concussed, Scraped, Sore and Sprained! Tokotas can sustain multiple injury types at three levels of severity; be careful to read up on what each injury does to avoid penalties in different areas of the group! In addition, injury preventatives Hardy, Porcupine, Porcupine Totem and Leg Protectors have been revamped as well.
2021
  • 06/06/2021 - Starter Breedings have been updated to require Fertility Root instead of normal supplement items. Fertility Roots work on all starters regardless of build.
  • 06/06/2021 - Creature Whisperer has been updated to only work in Exploring and Caving. Two new traits, Companion Tracker and Critter Finder, have been added to function in the other activities.
  • 07/03/2021 - Sphinx Mane and non-hereditary mutations (Albino, Chimera, and Bloodmark) have been released for Akotas.
  • 08/14/2021 - Silky Mane has been released for Akotas!
  • 11/30/2021 - Long Mane has been released for Akotas!
  • 12/05/2021 - A major breeding overhaul was announced. The summary of the changes can be seen on this document and the podcast can be veiwed here.
    Changes include:
    • Standard Male Tokota slot counts have been reduced.
    • Akota, Dire, Toki and Female Standard slot counts have been rebalanced.
    • Build odds have been rebalanced for Tokis, Dires, and Akotas.
    • Breeding odds for Dakinos and Tokharas have been announced.
  • 12/22/2021 - Dakinos have officially been released!
2022
  • MM/DD/YYYY -
