Rehoming Project

Welcome to the Tokotna Cultural Association's Rehoming Project!
We were founded many years ago and have since rebuilt our legacy. Our facility is located in the depths of The Superiors; where we house abandoned or surrendered tokotas. These tokotas come from a range of backgrounds, whether that be from wild packs or previous homes and owners. We house a wide variety of tokotas here, ranging from the tiniest toki to the largest akota.
Please come take a look at the Tokotas we have available; if you see one you're interested in, read below on how to take them home with you!

Information

At the start of a Rehome month the selected tokotas will be released.
Players will have a month to submit their entries.
You may submit one entry for each of the Rehome tokotas but you can only win one.
Each entry is given a number and at the end of the month an equal chance raffle is rolled.

Rules

General
  • All work should be your own; outpost entries cannot be commissioned!
  • Collaborations are permitted, but the attempts will only count for the person posting and may not be used by two people.
  • Must be relevant to the meeting between your handler and the tokota.
  • Players are limited to one entry per tokota, with the ability to only win one.
  • If you win in one round you cannot participate in the next one as a “cooldown period”. This is to keep things fair and give others a chance at winning.

Prompts

These prompts are available to get you inspired for your entry. These prompts are not required, and you may submit an entry not based on any of these prompts.
  • You’ve just been let out into the exercise pen which is a large, grassy area covered in small flowers with a white picket fence surrounding it; the big, snow capped mountains of Tokotna in the background, with the tokota you’re interested in applying for; what do you do, how do you interact with the tokota?
  • You’ve been given the task of giving the tokota you’re applying for a bath; does it end well or does it end up with you having the bath?
  • You’ve been let out onto a large agility course, with many obstacles including jumps, weaving poles, and a tunnel chute. Will you be able to get the tokota you’re applying for to complete the course?
  • You’ve been given the task of desensitizing the tokota you are applying for to many different items (examples: trash bag, cars, metal items; etc.). Is there a particular item he/she is afraid of? Can you get them to overcome their fear?
  • You and the tokota have been taken out on a mock exploration expedition in the nearby forest to see how well you work as a team; what could possibly go wrong?
  • The tokota you're applying for has a companion; draw or write about how you interact with the tokota and its companion
  • You’ve been sent out to a fenced in paddock to help one of the tokotas learn to socialise, how will you interact with one of these tokotas?

FAQ

  • How often are new tokotas added?
    • New TCA rounds are done on a quarterly basis. Event specific rounds may occur during group events.
  • Will I be given the Hierarchy updates?
    • No, you will be provided a PSD for the Tokota so that you may do the updates yourself, or find someone else to do it without having to recreate the design.
  • Can I use a Representative tokota in place of a handler?
    • No, Rehoming has it's own handler replacement trait called Envoy. These tokotas may be used in place of a handler for Rehoming entries.
  • Do Rehoming Tokotas have any restrictions?
    • Yes, they are subject to the restrictions listed on Interaction Levels and will need to complete that system to fully unlock all features.
